Pulitzer Prize Winners Announced

The 2009 winners of the Pulitzer Prize were announced yesterday, and this was the first year that online news sources were eligible to compete in all 14 Journalism categories. Though the winners were all traditional print newspapers, Politico.com was a finalist in the Editorial Cartooning category.

What do you all think: as newspaper circulation decreases, will we see Pulitzer Prizes awarded to online news organizations in the near future? Or will the premium print newspapers continue to attract the most talent and take home the journalism prizes?
