Writer's Rooms

The online version of British newspaper The Guardian has an interesting weekly series titled "Writer's Rooms". Click through and you can see the writing spaces of authors ranging from the contemporary (Louis de Bernieres and Margaret Forster) to the classic (Charlotte Bronte and Rudyard Kipling). Descriptions of the rooms point out the details and objects they depend on for inspiration (and procrastination), and give insight into each one's writing style and work habits.
