"In presenting this film festival we are offering our students and the Savannah community not only an opportunity to view some award-winning films for free, but also we are providing a forum where people can learn about the cultures of the Francophone world and share with others of similar interests," said Dorothee Mertz-Weigel, AASU assistant professor of French and language lab director.

The festival is part of the Tournées Festival organized by the French American Cultural Exchange, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing French-American relations through arts, education and cultural exchange projects.
